"Did same day Maintenance on my 2003 GL1800a. Got there around 2pm and was done by 4:30 or so. Oil and filter change, final drive change, clutch fluid change, brake fluid change for front and rear.

"Last year I purchased a 07 Honda 919, oh which I absolutely love. I was just looking around the showroom that day, with no intent on making a purchase that afternoon. I stop a young man by the name of Jamie Mitchell, and ask if he would be able to simply run some number so I could see if I could afford such a machine. He explained he would be glad to, but he was a little busy, so if I could please be patient he would be glad to assist me. Seeing the store quite busy that day I could understand him being busy. About 5 minutes went by and he came back over and talked with me about the bike, and making the purchase. He took my information and again apologized for being so busy. He turned in my paper work, and said he'd let me know something within a few moment. About 20 minutes past, keeping in mind we were still there he constantly apologized for being busy and thanked us, (me and my girlfriend) for being so patient. He came to us and said, "If you want the bike its yours, here's what the payments would be", and explained everything to me. I decided to go ahead and get the bike. We then talked to Tina, who was an absolute pleasure to work with, and got all the paperwork filled out. Both Jamie and Tina were both great to work with, which is why I referred my mother there from Indiana to purchase a Honda Silverwing, and my Roommate to purchase his Ninja. Through all this the staff at Sloan’s was nothing but friendly, courteous and made me feel right at home. I recommend everyone I can to come there and talk to Jamie. He, and Tina both are valuable assets to the Sloan’s team. I look forward to continuing my business with such a great dealership "

"I just wanted to say I really enjoyed my experience with Sloan's Motorcycles. I saw a bike I like on their website and I called and spoke with Hank. I told him I would be in on the weekend. He called me Friday morning to ensure me the bike I was interested in was still there and ask if I was still interested in it. Although the Kawasaki I was interested did not fit me that well, Hank worked with me to find a bike that did fit, both me @ 6'3" and 250lbs as well as my budget.
As a new rider it was a must that the bike be delivered to my house in Nashville. I know I am not ready for highway riding yet. Sloan's was fantastic to work with and Hank, having worked with many new riders, understood and appreciated my position. I met Hank @ 8:30am and by 11am the bike was in my driveway.
Bobby Watts the parts man got a manual ordered for me and suggested a great cover for my bike. He also suggested a windscreen that I will call and order tomorrow.
My bike is a 99 Honda VT600 Shadow that I really love and enjoy riding. I appreciated Hank's willingness to work with me. He was not high pressure and didn't show any frustration (even though mine showed) with the difficulties I had finding a comfortable bike. I am looking forward to the next year with my bike and going back to purchase I bigger one, hopefully next year.

"My husband and I were riding home from a great trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway (every mile of it), Cherohala Skyway, Tail of the Dragon, etc. when the front tire of my 2003 Victory TC Deluxe went flat on the interchange from I-40 to 155 in Nashville. It was a Friday afternoon and we called and left a message. Bobby quickly called me back, Seth came to pick up the bike (after he was off work, no less) and Patrick and Darren helped us while Nathan fixed my bike. Your service department went above and beyond to make sure my bike was ready for the 1000 miles home, not only replacing the tire tube, but tightening up the drive belt and checking the rear wheel bearings. Sloan's is a top-notch place and I have let everyone I ride with know to stop by if they are ever in the Murfreesboro area. Thank you for all your help! "I absolutely love the 1100 silverado Vstar I bought. Your on line accessory catalouge made it very easy to outfit the bike like I wanted. I get compliments all the time on how beautiful my bike is. "My fiance' works at First Bank in murfreesboro and has talked to Mr. Sloan several times. We are both MTSU graduates and have been around Murfreesboro for a while. My comment I have is, have you ever thought about branching out and maybe having a second Sloan cycle? Maybe in Memphis area? "There are still some "stand up" folks left in this world and I found some at Sloan's Motorcycles. Daren, Denis, Kevin(s), and the whole staff were attentive and professional with me. I had a broken a clutch cable (original cable) on the '03 Vegas in Crossville, TN just before getting on I-40. I called my local dealer in McKinney, TX and he gave me Sloan's number. I called and got directions from Kevin in parts and a promise to get me back on the road from the service department. When I got there, my scooter went right into the service area where Kevin replaced the broken cable in an hour. Daren brought it around, and I was ready to go on to Bowling Green, KY.
I went to the service counter to settle up and was very pleasantly surprised to find out they had a clutch cable in the "parts pile" instead of having to wait on an ordered one. Then the real surprise was there was no charge...all that in the interest of providing support for folks that like to ride and happen to be out of town and in a bind. Like my thread on the VMC forum says "Good Guys in Tennessee" and look at the other comments that came after I posted this story there. Thanks again guys!

" This letter is to inform you of some super service that was received from Darren Nixon. We where on a group ride to Bell Buckle Tennessee when one of the bikes (a V Star) started having starter problems. We determined that it was either a battery or a charging problem. We searched around for a battery then headed to your place for some help. You didn’t have one in stock (it is an odd size) and when other dealers where contacted they didn’t have one either. The owner of the V-Star was truly disgusted with the motorcycle by now since it had been in the shop several times for this problem and Darren helped out with a solution. We were back to the bike (which was between Murfreesboro and bell buckle on the side of the road) and soon headed back towards his house. I have to commend your staff and write you to let you know about Darren’s attitude and knowledge. There was also a mechanic that helped out on the diagnoses. "I have a suggestion and a complaint.
Your Sales Staff needs to remember that Ladies are riders and Buyers also. I have been in your store several times, sometimes just looking at the different bikes and a couple of times interested in getting info about a certain bike and I have NEVER had a sales person to come up to me and ask if I need help or if I was interested in any certain bike. The have walked past me and went to some guy and offered assistance. They need to be trained that even ladies past 50 rides bikes and their money is as good as guys. I purchased my bike out of town in 04 because of the sales staff, I do however, have my bike serviced there and had my trike wheels installed on my bike there and your Service Dept. is very eager to help and stands behind their work.I plan on selling my bike and I want a 1100 Honda for my next bike, I would like to get it there since M'boro is close but if you can't get a sales person to talk to you then that purchase will be out of town again.

What we need now is a way to jump start the rider comradarie that exists with the Gold Wingers and HD riders. Is there some resource you can emloy t help get that jump started? How about an invite to a Victory Owners only breakfast/lunch or ride? While not everyone has purchased their Victory from you, all of us are coming for parts and supplies. "Well once again, I have positive things to say about Sloan's service. You all will think I am getting paid for this but I am not. My son and I acquired a wrecked Suzuki Katana and took it on as a winter project. Part of the reason for that was because my wife came down in December with Lou Gehrig's disease.
My son and I thought that this rebuilding project would give us both lots of time with mom but all the sanding, filling, and wrench-turning gave us time with each other, as well. From the very beginning guys in the shop like Patrick Julian and later on, Darren, stepped up to the plate big time. They gave us advice and help easily and with the most positive of attitudes. This was a gift when the both of us were pretty sad about mom and in the dark about motor mechanics. I am still stunned to find such sterling characters. Patrick was outstanding. Darren was great.
It is not like I have not been around long, either. I am 59 and have lived all over the US. If you all out there in the motor cycle universe want help, advice or great service, come on down to Sloan's. They sure treated us very well.

I have been riding motorcycles now on and off since 1970. I have dealt with numerous motorcycle dealers all over this country. As a matter of fact, my age and inclination have had me in touch with the Harley Davidson Company a lot of late. However, recently, I purchased an older Suzuki Katana for my son. We have worked this winter to rebuild that bike and have had numerous occassions when we have dealt specifically with Patrick Julian at Sloan's. I can say without any doubt what-so-ever that Patrick has been the finest, most knowledgable and helpful person that I have had the pleasure of working with. Quite honestly, Rocket folks were disappointingly poor in their product knowledge on Harley cycles and pathetic in their response to ordering equipment, etc. They actually ordered mismatched parts for me. When it came to the Suzuki, though, I can not present enough compliments concerning my Sloan service in the person of Mr. Julian. He was exceptional, very friendly, polite, etc. and at the least deserves a cutomer recognition award well beyond this. If all the folks at the Sloan's are like him, you will be in great shape regarding your business. In fact, quite honestly, I am actually considering a new Victory now that I have worked with him on the Suzuki. I am quite sure that I would get it at your dealership. I hope that you might consider some type of employee incentive for him. I have been a college administrator for thirty six years. If all the folks in our neighborhood were only half as helpful as he has been then this world would be in better shape. Thanks and keep up the good work......

"Due to my misgivings, I found myself stranded at a Smyrna resturant on Saturday morning with a dead battery on my bike and a thunderstorm threatening. I called Sloan's (I have their number written on my owner's book in my saddlebag) told them I needed help, within 20 minutes, my bike had been picked up and was on its way back to the shop. I caught a ride home on the back of a friend's bike. I went back to the shop later that afternoon to find my battery had been recharged and my bike waiting for me - at not cost to me. That is the reason I will always be a Sloan's customer - thank you very much. This was my first experience of being stranded on my bike and my stress was worsened due to impeding weather. All my stress left when I called and was told, "We'll be right there, don't worry."
And even better, I made it home before the bottom dropped out of the storm clouds.
I really appreciate your customer service. Hopefully, I won't need to call again, but I know if I do, I'll be treated very well.

"I want to tell Sloan’s and Honda about a very pleasant surprise.
Last fall, I bought a 2004 Shadow Aero 750 from Sloan’s. I did quite a bit of research before buying the bike. One of the things the research suggested was that I could expect anywhere from about 35 to 48 miles per gallon depending on road conditions, load, driving style, etc. That seemed reasonable to me.
Being a little bit compulsive, I always keep track of my gas mileage in automobiles. I began checking the mileage on my bike each time I filled up.
Since buying the bike last fall, I have put about 5,500 miles on it. Each time I bought gas, I checked the mileage. In almost every instance, I found the gas mileage to be between 60 and 70 miles per gallon! One time it was 58 miles per gallon; two or three times, it was above 70 miles per gallon.
For the record, my driving style is not aggressive. But, it is not passive either. I think it is pretty average.
I don’t know why the gas mileage is as high as it is, but I am quite pleased.

"The Sloan's Motorcycle Complex is awesome. The showroom is bright, clean and uncluttered. It took me almost a month to decide which make and model of ATV that I wanted to purchase. "My testimonial is more about the 660 Rhino my wife and I recently bought.
The staff there is great -- Curtis Sloan -- thanks a million! All the salesmen were busy the day we were there but you took the time to show us one behind the store in for service.
We have found a mountian's worst nightmare, the 660 Rhino! I cannot attest to exactly what it will do or not do. We don't have but 10 hours on it but the 10 other atv`s we were riding with were as impressed as we were. A couple of the other riders were talking about trading after a two hour ride.
The low-range lock is fantastic in rock and in uphill gulleys; high-range lock lets you idle through mud holes that other atv`s fear to tread .
The Rhino drives and reacts like military CJ2a`s with power steering its a awsome off-road vehicle. Please keep up the good work."

"I would like to thank Sloan's for the wonderful customer sevice they provided to me recently. On the way to the Motorcycle Jubilee in Nashville (from Georgia), I had a rear tire problem on I-24. I got out the GWRRA Gold Book and called Sloan's. They sent a truck and trailer out to pick me up (30 miles away). On the way, the driver (Barry) called back to the dealership eto tell them my problem and give them my bike info ( an '01 1800). When we arrived at Sloan's the service manager (Darren) met me at the truck with an inventory of 1800 tires and explained the characteristics of each brand as the service crew were pushing my bike into the service area. Since I was traveling, they gave me a super deal on the tires. I have NEVER been treated better by any company. Their dealership is huge, clean and everyone was friendly. They had the tires on in 30-45 minutes and we were on our way. Thank you Sloan's!!!"

"In September 2003, I bought a used Venture from salesperson, Frank P. I have been happy with my purchase and feel I got a great bike. Recently the carburetor started leaking gas and the cooling fan has not been coming on.
I called Sloan's and was told, "No problem, bring it in".
I was a bit nervous about leaving my bike and letting someone I don't know work or it. I could just see "Earl" in cut-offs and white high tops with his half eaten lunch resting on my gas tank while working on my bike. So I did a surprise visit. When I got there the tech, Waymon, was indeed working on my bike and was very friendly and listened to my concerns. He told me what he was going to do to fix it. Hearing that put my mind at ease and the image of "Earl" vanished from my mind.
It did take three weeks to fix my bike because the parts were on back order.
But when I picked up my bike.oh my God! I thought my bike was running good when I brought it in, man this was sweet! I have never seen this bike run like this, so smooth and responsive. The tech who worked on it really tweaked it out. He did extra stuff that he didn't have to do and, to boot; he did a complete tune up. WOW, this is not what I expected from a motorcycle dealer. They not only treated me fairly, but treated me like royalty.
Any of you Venture owners who want to sweeten your ride, see Waymon in the service department because he will fix you up right."
